The Scaling Tool


              Use the scaling tool to help people think about:

                            a) Where they are now
                            b) Where they would like to get to &
                            c) What the next baby steps are to reach that goal.

               1  =  I have some big difficulties with this.
               10 = I get on really well with this – I find it easy.

       Scaling helps people to think about:

       ▪ How things are for them at the moment
       ▪ What they would like to be different in the future
       ▪ What they would like to happen now


       It also helps a person to reflect on how to move forward:

       By asking: “What needs to happen now for you to get to the next number?”, a person can think
       about how to take the next baby step forward.
