Traditional behaviourist methods rely on control
Tug of War ‘control’ methods rely on compliance, with either the adult or child sacrificing
their needs. The Empowerment Approach believes that everyone’s needs are important, and
the focus should be to find solutions that are ‘Good for me, good for you, good for everyone’.
