Future Focus
Working out what you would like in the future will help you
to feel more in control. It will also help you to focus on the
right things more easily.
Ask someone you trust to help you work out what you would like
your future to be like and the steps to get there:
❑ What kind of person do you want to be?
How do you want people to think of you? (E.g. Funny and
energetic? Calm and wise? Kind and well thought of? Generous?
Trusted?)
❑ What do you want to be doing in the future?
Studying? College? Volunteering? An apprenticeship? Travelling?
❑ What do you want to achieve or have? (E.g. a close circle
of friends; lots of interests / hobbies that you enjoy; enough
money to go out with your friends; a particular qualification,
grade or award? Your own business?
