                        Working out what you would like in the future will help you



                        to feel more in control. It will also help you to focus on the



                        right things more easily.








                        Ask someone you trust to help you work out what you would like


                        your future to be like and the steps to get there:








                        ❑ What kind of person do you want to be?



                               How do you want people to think of you? (E.g. Funny and



                               energetic? Calm and wise? Kind and well thought of? Generous?


                               Trusted?)








                        ❑ What do you want to be doing in the future?



                              Studying? College? Volunteering? An apprenticeship? Travelling?







                        ❑ What do you want to achieve or have? (E.g. a close circle



                               of friends; lots of interests / hobbies that you enjoy; enough



                               money to go out with your friends; a particular qualification,


                               grade or award? Your own business?
