Part i MANAGING NEWNESS, UNFAMILIARTY & UNCERTAINTY
a. I can try new experiences e.g. starting a new hobby or club.
b. I can manage meeting new people or being paired with or sitting
next to someone I do not know.
c. When something is new or unfamiliar, I can remember that it will
feel normal after a while e.g. When I move house or school, I
know that one day this will feel just as comfortable and familiar as
the home or school I am in now.
d. I cope ok with uncertainty, e.g. not knowing which class I will be in
next year, talking it through if I need to.
Part ii COPING WITH THE UNEXPECTED & ADAPTING TO CHANGE
a. I can cope ok when rules change.
b. I can cope ok when routines change e.g. when I need to sit in a
different place to my normal one or go to a club on a different day.
c. I find it easy to adapt and do things in a different way to the way I
am used to.
