Getting Brain Fit: Needs & Skills
1 Cups and cards I know my own cups of need.
I have scaled the Big 5C Needs (and maybe every need card).
2 Needs Scaling I now know how well each of my needs are being met at different
times and in different places.
3 Affect Spotting I am able to notice pleasant and unpleasant feelings and have lots
of words to describe this ‘affect’. I am emotional literate.
4 Pleasant Curious I have worked out what needs are met well when I have pleasant feelings.
5 Helpful/unhelpful I have worked out whether the way I meet each need is helpful or less helpful for
me and for others.
Cup Filling / I have planned helpful ways to fill any cups of need which are not yet ‘just right’

to help me manage.
