6. Rigorous, Certain & 7. Impactful
“Without follow-up, there will always be mopping up”
If we want children to manage better next time, it is essential to
always follow-up. That needs to be a certainty for everyone.
This follow up involves problem-solving through a ‘Coaching
Conversation’ with the child.
This technique is detailed in Section C of the programme.
Adults should work out how to make sure there is
ALWAYS follow-up. This keeps expectations high.
As time is always an issue, this may need creative
thinking and working together as a family to find
ways to make sure follow-up is consistent.
