1. BACKGROUND
On 29 April 2014, while off duty as a Captain for easyJet and training for a 140 km road

race, Mr Sigve Solheim was knocked off his bicycle by Ms Emma Curren. She was insured by
Diamond Insurance xxxx. Mr Solheim was treated for an injury to his left hand in the accident
and emergency unit at Princess Alexander Hospital, East Grinstead and released the same day.
He reported minor damage to his shoulder and ribs but no head injuries
On 30 April 2014, Dr xxxx successfully operated on Mr Solheim's hand and he was released

the same day.
Mr Solheim claim against Ms Curren's insurance policy was not immediately accepted and on
xxxxx he retained Kingsley Napley on a contingency fee basis to pursue his interest.
Mr Solheim made a number of claims and declarations that ultimately led to revocation of his
pilot's licence (on xxxxxxx) and receiving compensation of==
