                     139. Although not specifically narrated, the Court Order is based on the £500,000 being a
gift to LPJS' s with no obligation for repayment .

had let APMS off the hook, leaving "him to pick up the pieces". He assured LPJS 124 that
their relationship was solid, long term and that he was devoted, "for life" to her and her
                        children.

ruling he had. MJC did not believe it would be constructive to remind the Claimant that
his refusal to give evidence had been a critical factor but pointed out that the Court had
concluded that the £500,000 had been a gift and LPJS's asset. The Claimant looked very
shamefaced but said that "J will be there behind Lou and the kids all the wa y."

                          • APMS set his new salary at around £8,000 a year but is drawing substantial income
describing it as loans and dividends with the intention that it would be ignored in
any further review of his maintenance obligations

                          • In early July 2018 the Claimant announced that his relationship with LPJS was over

                          • A few days later, the Claimant called into Nutley Place and suggested to LPJS that
he would help her out by cutting the lawns and preparing the house for sale. He
said he "had thought about it"" and would be prepared to lend her £50,000 to pay
the school fees but only on condition that she "would start signing some
