Panic, Disorder & Confusion!!
A fire can make even the most Even-Tempered Personalities Nervous & FEARFUL.
When a total emergency patient evacuation is ordered by the administrator, or designee, follow these
methods of moving patients:
Evacuation Procedure.
General Guidance.
All life saving equipment (oxygen, respirators, etc.) should be moved with patient if possible.
Patients' records should remain with them if possible; however patient evacuation shall take priority over everything else
(records, equipment, etc.,).
Personnel from non-patient care areas should report to their supervisor to assist with evacuation.
Horizontal Evacuation Move patient who are closest to the danger first.
