A BRIEF HISTORY
ounded by the late Sri R Dayananda Sagar in the early 1960s, Dayananda
FSagar Institutions (DSI) has evolved into a leading educational
conglomerate under the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust in Bengaluru,
often referred to as the Silicon Valley of India. DSI offers a comprehensive
educational spectrum from Primary and Higher Secondary Schools and
pre-university to Postgraduate and Doctoral programs across Engineering,
Health Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Sciences, Business Management,
Information Technology, and Allied Health programs.
DSI’s commitment to internationalization is evident in global collaborative
research and exchange programs. The campus boasts excellent academic

The birth of Dayananda Sagar University
