Things are slowly starting to regain a new sort of normality in the show world.
For the breed we have now had 2 general championship shows now. The first since the
beginning of the pandemic was Southern Counties which took place on Saturday 26th
June at Newbury showground. It was a quite different style of show to what we are used
to in the UK (more like the shows on the continent). Instead of the usual benching in large
marques there was plenty of space for everyone to have their own tent or gazebo socially distanced,
which did give the day a little bit of a party atmosphere. It was lovely to catch up with friends that we
had not seen since Crufts last year.
Keeshonds were first in the ring at 10am for our judge Carole Jackson (CARNOR) (breed specialist),
meaning we were finished in time for lunch.
