Light propagate (travels) in straight lines in transparent media and its
thickness can be controlled.

(Brightness):
It is the quantity of light falling perpendicular on a unit area of a surface in
one second.
So, we conclude the inverse square law of light:
Light intensity of a surface is inversely proportional to the square of the
distance between the source of light and this surface.
