Multiplicative Comparison
The meaning of multiplication
4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 4 × 6 = 24
5 + 5 + 5 = 5 × 3 = 15
8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 8 × 5 = 40
Multiplicative Comparison
To compare 15 and 5, we say 15 is 3 times 5 and this means 3 × 5 = 15
To compare 20 and 2, we say 20 is 10 times 2 , this means 2 × 10 = 20
To compare 12 and 4, we say 12 is 3 times 4 and this means 3 × 4 = 12
