First : Addition operation:
Example(1):

Find the result of: -3 v5 + 4 v5 + (-2v5)

Solution: ( -3 + 4 - 2 ) v?? = -v??

The properties of addition operation of real numbers

? Closure:
The sum of any two real numbers is a real number; therefore, we say
R is closed under addition operation. (for every a ? R ? a + b ? R)

? Commutative property:
(for every a ? R and b ? R ? a + b = b + a)

? Associative property:
(for every a ? R , b? R and c ? R ? (a + b) + c = a + (b + c) )

? The additive neutral:
(for every a ? R ? a + 0 = 0 + a = a)

? The additive inverse for every real number:
(for every a ? R there is (- a) ? R ? a + (-a) + a = 0 )
