The cells need oxygen, water and food to get energy & stay alive.
They have a way of taking in the needed materials and
releasing waste products.
Water enters the cell through the cell membrane. But if there is
much water enters the cells, it will swell until it bursts.
The cell membrane allows the water to go outside and inside.
