First: Multiplying Integers:

   A) 3 X 4 = 3+3+3+3 =12
  B) (-3) X 4 = (-3)+ (-3)+ (-3)+ (-3)=(-12)

• The product of two positive integers = positive integer.
• The product of two negative integers = positive integer
• The product of two integers having different signs = negative integer

Examples

    find the result of each of the following :

(a) 5 X 6 = 30       (b) (-5) X (-6)= 30
(c) (-5) X 6 = - 30  (d) -5 X (-6) = -30
