FLEXIBLE PAID TIME OFF (PTO)
Footprint recognizes that a good balance between work and life is important. That is why employees are provided
with annual Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) to use in any manner they choose; for vacation, illness, or personal
reasons. Employees are also provided with Company-paid holidays each year.
This policy describes the details of PTO, including eligibility, hours, PTO accrual, scheduling time off, carrying over
time, and more.
Footprint complies with all applicable state and local requirements regarding sick leave, including, but not limited to,
Arizona’s Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act. To the extent applicable state or local laws are more generous than
this PTO Policy, Footprint will provide the leave benefits required by those laws. Please reference Footprint’s Sick
Leave Policy, which is in addition to the Flexible Paid Time Off policy, where the Sick Leave Policy offers eligible
employees time off for sick leave. This policy applies to all U.S. employees.
Eligibility and Accrual
• Full Time Exempt Employees (Salaried)
All eligible full-time exempt employees do not have a specific limit on Flexible PTO available to them.
Employees may and should schedule time off, so that it does not negatively impact job performance or
business operations.
• Full Time Non-Exempt Employees (Hourly)
All eligible full-time employees, who work at least 30 hours per week, receive Flexible PTO based on their
tenure, as outlined below:

Although employees start accruing leave on the first day of employment, new employees cannot use Flexible PTO
until their 91st day of employment.
Communication
Employees should discuss potential time off with their manager to obtain approval on and schedule the time off that
does not unnecessarily interfere with operations, whenever not precluded by emergency or other reason.
Any employee who wishes to take Flexible PTO, must notify the Company at least two (2) weeks prior to the
anticipated start of the time off by emailing their manager and include the date(s) they are requesting off.
Vacations are almost always foreseeable, while time off for some other purposes may not be. If the need for time off
is not foreseeable – due to medical or other exigency -- then notice must be given as soon as is practicable, usually
before the start of the employee’s shift, and almost always within two (2) working days. The notice should be sent
by email to the employee’s manager, with a copy to Human Resources.
