Do

Adhere to the Don’ts list as far as you reasonably can - also:

 Have your equipment serviced regularly

 Keep all service records* Ask for copies if needed.
 Ask for advice if you are unsure - It should be free and
always is with us.
 Notify your service provider if the equipment breaks down,

there are odd smells or alarms operating.
 Have systems cleaned as often as is required, in accordance
with the manufacturers guidance. Sewage treatment plants

need regular desludging.
 Make sure you are not paying for un-necessary services or
add-ons.

 Always use a reliable service provider to keep your
equipment in full working order.

* You are required to keep all service, repair and cleaning records for a sewage
treatment plant, cess-pits and septic tanks by The Environment Agency. It is advisable
to keep records for all plant installed on-site for use as a reference.
