RrooHvn 5$being held on $50,000 bail in thestabbing of Morris Lieberman, 58,owner of St. George TV and Radio.Police say that Lieberman put upno resistance during the August 11robbery of his store, yet wasstabbed five times by Bryant.When Officer Joseph Hall of the84th Precinct Anti-crime unit foundBryant at Tillary and WashingtonStreets, he was allegedly punchedby Bryant, who fled. A five blockchase ensued, but Hall, a marathonrunner, finally caught the defendant and with help from an F.B.I.agent who was passing by madethe arrest at Tillary and JayStreets. $234 was recovered andBryant was charged with attemptedmurder, robbery, assault, possession of a dangerous weapon,possession of stolen property andresisting arrest. It was discoveredthat Bryant had been released fromjail only five days before thestabbing, after serving a five-yearstint for robbery. Liebermanremains in critical condition atLong Island College Hospital.YOUTH ASSAULT: Two youths,13 and 14, were arrested onAugust 11 at 11:05 a.m. after they,with another youth, who escaped,allegedly assaulted a 15-year-oldwho refused to give them hismoney. The arrest was made byOfficer Joseph Hall of Brooklyn%u2019s84th Precinct with help fromofficers Robert Neglaccio and William Mincher, also of the 84th, infront of a check cashing store at158 Myrtle Avenue. Police say theyouths had forced a 14-year-oldSummer Youth Program participant to walk with them fromFlatbush and Lafayette Avenues tothe check-cashing store, cash his$120 paycheck, and give them themoney. The victim complied. Whenhe stepped out of his house he wasgrabbed and held at knifepoint bythe men. They then made nim tellhis girlfriend, who was visiting, tolet them into the house. After shedid so they were both tied withwire, gagged and blindfolded. Theperpetrators were then joined by athird man who helped the others toclear the house of over $1000 ofproperty.
