                                    January 24, 1974 PHOENIX Page 5Workmen install one of the new outdoor sculptures at Pratt Institute campus in Clinton Hill.Cowan us Pumping StationPublic Hearing AnnouncedThe Department of Water Resources will be holding a public hearing on the proposed construction of the Gowanus Pumping Station, a part of the Red Hook Water Pollution Control project.The pumping station is to be constructed on the site of the existing Douglass Street pumping station located at the head end of the Gowanus Canalbounded by Douglass and Butler Streets, Brooklyn, New York.The potential environmental impact of the project will be discussed. Charles Samowitz, Acting Commissioner of the Department of Water Resources, will be chairing the meeting. It will be held at the Brooklyn Borough Hall. The show will continue through February 8 in several galleries in the Main Building. The Pratt galleries are open free to the public daily from 9 A.M.-5 P.M. Rassin is the first person to officially announce her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for U. S. Ms. Rassin announced her entrance into the race for the seat currently held by Rep. On Jan. 18, Police Officer Nicholas Voglio made a robbery arrest in the IND station at Bergen and Smith Sts. Voglio answered a radio call describing the theft of a camera at the station during rush hour. When the victim resisted the attempt at removing the instrument, it was forcibly removed by the culprit.On Jan. 18, again, Anti-Crme Team Officer Robert McDevitt arrested two on a robbery count, at Court and Luqueer St., and on the same day caught a person using a forged driver%u2019s license.On Jan. 19 at 11:15 p.m. Police Officer Daniel Wright made an arrest on the double charge of kidnapping and endangering the health of a minor. The man taken in had threatened to take away the baby of a woman unless she allowed him to enter her apartment.
