                                    PB0 EE4IXEXHIBIT WOODCUTS: %u201cThe Woodcuts of Jacques Hnizdovsky%u201d opens at Brooklyn Botanic Garden on Saturday, May 31, part of the garden%u2019s continuing series of %u201cPeople Who Pauli in ilie Garden,\The Chase Manhattan Bank. A native of the Ukraine, the late Jacques Hnizdovsky is considered by critics and curators to rank among this century%u2019s foremost masters of the woodcut. He came to the U.S. in 1949 and died in November, 1985. This exhibit, which was planned with the artist late last summer, is being mounted as a memorial and will be open for viewing Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 4pm, and weekdays by appointment. The exhibit is in the administration building, 1000 Washington Avenue. For information, call 622-4433.TOSCA ON STAGE: %u201cE Lucevan le Stelle%u201d and %u201cVissi D%u2019Arte%u201d are just two of the popular musical selections that are part of a performance of Puccini%u2019s dramatic masterpiece %u201cTosca,%u201d which will be given on May 31, June 1, June 7-8 at Regina Hall, 65th Street and 12th Avenue. The production is fully staged by Gianni Simone, and with a 35-piece orchestra, conducted by Henry Shek and will feature a cast of professional singers. Elinor Bush and Ilona Simon share the title role, portraying the singer Floria Tosca. Performance times are 8pm on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays.
