They may borrow up to 10 books and not have to return them until September 17. (the normal time for borrowing is two weeks). Books taken out for vacation loan must first be approved by the librarian. The program begins June 5th and continues through September 3.NEW LIGHTS: Councilman Abe Gerges says that traffic signals will soon be installed at the intersection of Cadman Plaza West and Pierrepont Street, bringing, Gerges says, %u201cincreased safety for those who travel in the downtown Brooklyn area.%u201d He says that the City Department of Transportation says the work is scheduled to be completed %u201cas soon as possible.%u201dREFUND INFORMATION: The Internal Revenue Service has added an automated refund information system to its regular TeleTax service. The new system can be called seven days a week, 6am-12:30am, and will tell taxpayers whether or not their refund check is on the way.
