Slope Civic Council Pledges To Help HomelessMembers of the Park Slope Civic Councilused their first meeting under president JimRyan to assist St. Augustine Church on Sixth* %u2014 * %u2014 --------------------------- v * -----------------f %u2014 i . %u2014 e ____________ l . ur t v c . Ail i i o a c a i u i tu t v u t u i iic c t o a u i a o iic n ufor hom eless people.Ryan, who has publicly said he wanted tomake the homeless issue the council%u2019s toppriority during his term in office, said at theAugust 7 meeting that he has been workingwith the Partnership for the Homeless, an interdenominational organization that workswith churches that want to start shelters.%u201cThe measure was unanimously passed bythe Board of Trustees to use the Council%u2019sresources to get volunteers to man theshelters,%u2019%u2019 says Ryan.
