                                    fSFCTlON' 2Good Memory Returns%u201cThe Memory Theatre of Giulio Camillo,%u201d a theatrical presentation written and directed by Matthew Maguire especially for the Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage, will be performed at the space by the Creation Company on September 9-14, 16-21, 23-28, 30-0ctober 5, at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 on Tuesdays, $12 Wednesday-Thursday, and $15 Friday-Sunday.The play is based on the ideas of Giulio Camillo, a 16th century architect and mystic who build a %u201cmemory theatre%u201d under the patronage of Francois I. He claimed that the theatre possessed magical powers, and those entering would leave with a memory of all the knowledge of the world.Five visual artists and four architects have designed installations which function as an exhibit and sets for %u201cThe Memory Theatre.%u201d The exhibit opens on September 8, with a reception from 7-9pm. It will run September 13-October 5, Saturday and Sunday, 12-6pm. The Anchorage is at Cadman Plaza West and Front Street. On September 14, Kenny Barron, Ben Riley, Charlie Rouse, and Buster Williams will appear. Amie Lawrence and the Moster Band will take the stage on September 21, and the series will close out on September 28 with a concert by Larry Rivers and the East 13th Street Band, with a guest appearance by Amie Lawrence.All performances are free with Museum admission. The theater is at 46 Old Fulton Street.Philharmonia Chorus Seeks A Few New VoicesThe Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus is holding open auditions September 9 and September 16 for its 31st season of performing choral works. Under the baton of Music Director Douglas March and accompanied by full orchestra, the 50 voice community chorus will perform Handel%u2019s %u201cMessiah%u201d and the Bach %u201cMagnificat%u201d on Sunday, December 7. The chorus will also appear for the December holiday season at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. A spring concert has been scheduled for May 17, 1987.The Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus wasfounded in 1955 by Siegfried Landau as the choral affiliate of the Brooklyn Philharmonia Orchestra. In 1980, it became an independent organization and began producing its own concerts at the Arts at St. Ann%u2019s.
