ndale Golf Club
Region: Palm Desert Course Type: Private
B orn as Del Safari Golf Club in 1969, the
Club’s roots were established via the
Midwestern sensibilities of the original
owners. A classic, gorgeous, tree-lined course
was combined with great service and an ef-
ficiently run club. The membership purchased
the Club in 1991, and with it came the name
change to Avondale. The quality of the club
endured, along with its solid condition and
membership traditions.
Designed by golf legend Jimmy Hines, our
Par 72 6,728-yard championship golf course is
always challenging but playable for golfers of
all skill levels. Avondale is known for “always
having a game,” seven days a week. You’ll
have no trouble finding playing partners here!
Many remark about the spectacular con-
dition of Avondale Golf Club. Our mature,
perfectly maintained, tree-lined course, rivals
the best the desert has to offer. Also a benefit,
games at Avondale average less than 4 hours,
and sometimes you’ll find yourself finishing in
fewer than 3 and a half. That makes it easier to
get another round in!
