On Tuesday of Week 8, our Children’s University graduates were
treated to gelato, milkshakes, and soft drinks as an extra celebration
of their commitment to learning in 2024.
We thank the Children’s University organisation that funded this
opportunity, and the lovely people at the Coffee Barn & Gelateria
Moonta who opened up especially for our students!
On Friday of Week 6, fifteen very excited Year 2 students, along with Mr Ross-Naylor, Mrs
Ross-Naylor, and Mrs Slade, travelled to Bethany Christian School in Paralowie.
They arrived at 10:25am to find one of the Year 2 classes holding up welcome signs for
their pen pals. The pen pals met, ate recess and had a play.
After recess they enjoyed another welcome, then played a number of games of
Tiddlywinks.
The students then ventured to Bethany Christian School’s Nature Play Area, followed by
watching VeggieTales and having lunch. Sadly it was then time to leave. Our students had
a fantastic day getting to know their pen pals.
