Junior Primary Star of the Sea Visit
On Wednesday of Week 8, students from
Foundation, Year 1, and Year 2 visited the
Star of the Sea Nursing Home to bring some
Christmas cheer to the residents.
The children performed a selection of four
songs, interspersed with spoken messages
that reminded the residents of God’s great
love for each and every one of them.
Their Christmas cheer was warmly received,
along with the children’s adorable presence!
OSHC continues to be a hive of activity as we have dived
into all things Christmas, with the focus being on the
real reason for the season, the birth of our Saviour,
Jesus.
To celebrate, we have made ‘stained glass’ nativity
scenes. These can be found on the Learning Support
Window and the OSHC window. We have watched
animations on the Christmas Story as told by The Super
Book series, Owlegories, and The VeggieTales series (all
can be found on YouTube). We have also made an array
of decorations for a Christmas tree, as well as some
edible ones.
