Premier’s Reading Challenge
On Thursday of Week 7, our College community gathered to celebrate the outstanding efforts of the students who participated in the Premier’s Reading Challenge this year.
The Premier’s Reading Challenge is a literacy engagement program that encourages students across South Australia to enjoy reading, with the goal to foster a lifelong appreciation for books.
During the assembly, awards were presented to those who successfully completed the challenge. Congratulations to all
our participants.
Scripture Award
Each week, our Primary students learn a different Bible verse. Scriptures teach us about our Lord and Saviour, and how to act and treat one another. By learning scriptures each week, we become better followers, servants, and better people, outwardly displaying the fruits of the spirit.
To encourage our students to memorise these, the College presents Scripture Awards to the students who have been dedicated to learning the chosen verse each week. During a special assembly on Thursday of Week 8, these awards were presented.
A number of Year 6 students were also presented with a Leadership and Service award, for going above and beyond with their leadership duties in the Primary College, and helping others wherever possible.
