Year 11/12
Outdoor Ed Camp - Deep Creek
During Week 4, our Year 11 and 12 Outdoor Ed class set out on a three-day bushwalking
expedition in the Deep Creek National Park. On the Wednesday they hiked from Trig
Campground to Tapanappa Campground (which was 5km along a rocky track), past a
beautiful waterfall. When the group arrived at camp, trangias were used to cook their
meals. These ranged from two-minute noodles to steak! Thursday was an interesting day
with thunderstorms occurring in the evening, resulting in the students being moved to the
Willow Creek Adventure Camp to keep safe. On Friday they made their way back to Kadina
earlier than expected due to the bad weather. Along the way they stopped for brunch at
the Port Elliot Bakery. It was definitely a camp to remember for all involved.
On Friday of Week 4, we
held our Term 3 Secondary
Community Breakfast. It was
a lovely morning of unity and
fellowship.
Thank you to the Capernwray
Bible School visitors, and all
other volunteers, for making
events like these a possibility.
