On Wednesday of Week 7, passionate staff, students and parents
attended the My Christian School ‘Faith In Our Future’ event held
at the Salisbury East campus of Tyndale Christian School. This
event of hope and affirmation was an opportunity to celebrate
the difference that Christian faith makes in our schools and lives.

Celebrating Creativity and Friendship
We are thrilled to share the wonderful work of our talented art students, who
recently took part in an exciting project initiated by Mr Hartley, our Head of
Primary. We introduced Friendology (a program that teaches children to solve their
own problems and make decisions that support happy, healthy relationships), at
the beginning of the year. Mrs Skinner and her art students were invited to design
and paint two vibrant Friendology boards for the Primary area. Students from
Class 6 and 5/6 (with a little assistance from some of our senior art students),
enthusiastically collaborated on this project, transforming the boards into engaging and educational
artworks. One board features the “Friendometer,” which helps students understand the importance of
maintaining “green zone” friendships. The other showcases the “Friend O’ Cycle,” a tool for all students
to visualise the natural cycle of a healthy friendship.
Our artistic students brought their creativity to life by illustrating their unique versions of the
Friendology characters, depicting various friendship dynamics. They also added a personal touch by
decorating the borders with their painted handprints. The lower primary board is adorned with bright,
colourful handprints, while the primary board features a sophisticated, muted skin-tone handprint
border. This project not only beautified our school, but also reinforced the values of friendship and
collaboration among our students. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and creativity.
