excepting when there is a written agreement between the inter­
ested agents, and a copy of said agreement has been filed with the
party of the first part. The party of the first part hereby assumes
the payment of this amount sixty days after shipment of the
lathes.
?. Prices are as per price list “ ” hereto attached
and forming a part of this agreement, subject to subsequent
changes as agreed upon in writing. The discount on price list
“ ..................... ” to agents is...........................................................................

cars Cincinnati. The party of the first part agrees that all quo­
tations in open territory to consumers shall be on a basis of not
less than twelve and a half per cent (W />% ) advance over its
price to agents.”
8. “The party of the second part hereby agrees not to sell
at a lower price than the price established by the manufacturer,
and agrees not to make any subsequent allowance of any kind
whatsoever.”
“Aside from the definite action taken, a very distinct spirit
of unanimity was shown and a request was lodged with each com­
mittee that it and its association do all possible to strengthen the
association of the other.
“The dealers expressed themselves in unmistakable terms as
being very appreciative of the treatment they had received and
were well satisfied with the results of the conference.”

This report was submitted to a special meeting of the
National Machine Tool Builders’ Association and laid on the
table. W’liat action the National Machine Tool Builders’ Asso­
ciation intend to take in the future is problematical. They have
not reported to us, and the only information we have is what we
have heard from friends who attended the recent meeting of the
National Machine Tool Builders’ Association.
The Committee also instructed the Secretary to notify the
members that it was suggested a re-sale price be established on
all machinery costing $100.00 or less, of 20% advance over cost.
This question has been submitted to \ou and we invite at this
