SarasotaBallet.org “Ethical Implications of the Holocaust,
Governmental Ethics”
Sponsored by The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee
We invite you to once again join Dr. Michael Berenbaum as we explore
the efforts by national and international organizations and governments to
create a post-Holocaust ethic. This includes the work of the United Nations
in 1948 to fashion the Convention on Genocide and the Universal Declara-
Digital Program 6 tion of Human Rights, the efforts of Germany to rejoin the community of
nations by reparations and its own political ethics, the attempt of Israel to
ASHTON project the Jewish people, and the imperfect attempts at justice in terms of
restitution. We will also examine why the response to genocide has been
so inadequate in the post-Holocaust world. The event takes place from
23 - 27 aPril 2021 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Zoom. To register, please visit jfedsrq.org/events. For
more information, please contact Trudi Krames at tkrames@jfedsrq.org

Jews and Rock ’n’ Roll
Join us with “Radio Dave” Milberg, a disc jockey-at-law, broadcasting
since 1965 and lawyering since 1979, as he discusses how the rock and
roll family tree has Jews at its roots, trunk and branches. Disc jockeys,
singers, songwriters, musicians, record company executives and even
mobsters planted its seeds and nurtured it to become the dominant music
in America over the past seven decades. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. via
Zoom. Fill out the form on templebethsholomfl.org for the password and
link. No cost, but donations are always appreciated. For more information,
please call the Temple Beth Sholom office at 941.955.8121 or email info@
templebethsholomfl.org.
