21 In-ground planting

Container-growing
Use containers a minimum of 20 inches in diameter, with drainage holes at the bottom.
Place a plate or tray underneath to catch excess water.
1. Use loose, well-draining soil. At least twelve inches of a good potting mix
with added organic matter.
2. Determinate (bush) varieties are easiest to grow in containers,
and most cherry tomato plants will do well.
3. Taller varieties will have to be staked.
4. Plant one seedling per container where it will receive
at least six hours of sunlight per day.
5. Keep soil moist. Soil dries out in containers more quickly.
