Disability

Short Term Disability (STD)—STAFF ONLY*

Fontbonne recognizes the hardship a non-work related injury or illness
resulting in lost time from work can have for you and your family. In
order to have protection for income lost due to an extended absence from
work, you are provided disability protection at no cost to you.

If you meet the deinition of disability as determined by Liberty Mutual,
you are eligible to receive a beneit equal to 66 ⅔% your pre-disability

earnings, to a maximum of $1,500 per week for 13 weeks. Your STD
beneits may be reduced by the amount of other income you receive
for the same disability. The elimination period—the length of time of
continuous disability which must be satisied before you are eligible to
receive beneits—is seven days.

Definition of Disability

You are considered to have a disability when Liberty Mutual determines—
due to your injury or illness—you are unable to perform the duties of
your job and are earning less than 20% of your pre-disability earnings.
