LTD, Sick Time, and Salary
Continuation
Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance (Optional)
You have the option to purchase Long Term Disability insurance through
Mutual of Omaha. If you are determined to be disabled for more than
180 days, you may be eligible for LTD payments. LTD replaces 60% of
your income to a maximum of $12,000/month. Payments will continue
as long as you remain disabled to the later of your Social Security normal
retirement age or the maximum beneit payment period included in the
policy.
If you did not elect this coverage when you were irst eligible and you
wish to elect during open enrollment, you will be required to complete
Evidence of Insurability.
Sick Time and Salary Continuation Policy
Employees may accrue up to 7 days (56 hours) of sick time per year.
Unused sick time will not roll over into the next year.
The company also provides a salary continuation beneit in the event you
are deemed to be disabled. You may receive income replacement after you
have been disabled for seven consecutive days. The income replacement
percentage depends on your years of service as noted in the chart below.
Payments continue until you are no longer disabled up to a maximum
of 25 weeks. Mutual of Omaha provides claim review services for this
beneit.
