Retirement Planning 2017 Beneits Enrollment
Hussmann offers an exciting retirement savings plan to its employees. You can
receive an automatic match on the irst 4% of your income deferred into the savings
plan (a.k.a. 401(k)), plus there is the opportunity for an additional match up to 2%
based on company performance. If you contribute a total of 6% of your earnings
into the retirement plan, you will be eligible to receive the highest possible match: 4%
automatic plus discretionary match of up to 2%. The amount of the discretionary
match earned will be announced at the end of the iscal year, and the additional
match will be added to the funds you earlier deferred. Saving 6% will therefore
assure you receive the highest possible match.
All regular, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) program.
New employees will be auto-enrolled at a 4% deferral rate after their eligibility is
automatically provided to the Plan Administrator on their behalf. You may change
your 401(k) deferral election at any time throughout the calendar year.
Changes to your salary deferral election amount can be made by phone
with a Transamerica Representative or on the Transamerica website
(www.hussmann.trsretire.com). From the main menu, scroll over the “Manage” tab
and then click “Contributions.” If you have any questions, please call Transamerica
Retirement Solutions at 800.755.5801.
Remember: you can always adjust your contributions up or down, tax-deferred
within the IRS limits, and you may deposit after-tax contributions as well. Talk to a
Transamerica Representative if you have questions.
Investment Options
The Hussmann retirement savings plan has many investment options from which
to choose. A pre-tax, target retirement date fund is the default option, based on
your age. You may wish to choose your own funds, participate in the post-tax Roth
401(k), or a combination of these. To do so, visit the TransAmerica website or call
800.755.5801.
