Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
EAP coverage is offered through Workplace Options (WPO). WPO can help you ind solutions for the everyday
challenges of work and home. The beneits can also serve as a resource when more serious issues regarding
emotional and physical well-being arise for you and your eligible dependents, parents, and parents-in-law.
Access the EAP program for the following:
> Childcare and/or eldercare referrals
> Personal relationship information
> Health information and online tools
> Legal consultations with licensed attorneys
> Financial planning assistance
> Stress Management
> Career development
Our emotional support services assist members with a range of personal and professional issues for which short-
term counseling is appropriate. The primary counseling model WPO uses is short-term solution-focused therapy.
This involves a move away from the analysis of problems to the discovery of solutions that are already at work
in an individual’s life. The therapy concentrates on helping individuals identify the skills, strengths, and resources
that are already present and moves them towards a solution.
WPO offers an additional Aware Program, with six weekly sessions that focus on mindfulness-based stress
reduction, including coaching and other resources!
WPO offers six face-to-face counseling sessions per issue and unlimited online/telephonic outreach. For

New for 2021, GLG will partner with WPO to provide their telephonic wellness coaching program. This program
offers access to certiied professional coaches who provide individualized, goal-oriented guidance, wellness
education, strategy development, and encouragement. Individuals and coaches commonly design wellness plans
around weight management, nutrition, tobacco cessation, physical activity, stress management, and overall
lifestyle improvement. Sessions are aimed at increasing the participant’s self-eficacy and internal motivation for
lasting behavior change, nurturing new habits that lead to long-term success.
