Morrocco, UAE Release Joint Commemorative

Morocco’s Barid Al-Maghrib Group, in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates 7X postal
service, issued a commemorative stamp on Wednesday in Rabat to honor the historical relations
between the UAE and Morocco, Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) reported.

The launch event entitled “Historical Relations between the United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of
Morocco” was held at Barid Al-Maghrib Museum, showcasing a set of postal stamps and a postcard
depicting the UAE’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Hassan II Mosque in Morocco.

General Director of Barid Al-Maghrib Group Amin Benjelloun Touimi highlighted the issuance of the
commemorative stamps as “a significant step that celebrates the long-standing fraternal relations
between the Kingdom of Morocco and the UAE.”
He also underscored Barid Al-Maghrib’s commitment to furthering cooperation with 7X to serve
mutual interests on both regional and international levels.

UAE’s Ambassador to Morocco, Obaid Al Qatami, said that two nations’ bilateral ties date back to
the time of the late King Hassan II and the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

“We are honored to commemorate these enduring ties of friendship and strategic partnership
through these stamps,” he added.
