Morocco-UAE: issue of a commemorative postage

The Moroccan Post Group and the “X-Seven” Foundation, responsible for managing the postal
sector in the United Arab Emirates, announced, Wednesday in Rabat, the issue of a joint
commemorative postage stamp entitled “The historic friendship between the Kingdom of Morocco
and the United Arab Emirates.

This special edition celebrates the historic and strong friendship between the Kingdom of Morocco
and the United Arab Emirates.

This issue includes a postage stamp and an edgeless commemorative card depicting the two
largest mosques in both countries. The case concerns the “Hassan II Mosque” in Casablanca and
the “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque” in Abu Dhabi.

In a speech given on this occasion, the general director of the Moroccan Post Group, Amin Ben
Jelloun Touimi, declared that this joint publication between the Moroccan Post and the Emirati
company “X-Seven” is of particular importance, because it celebrates the strong relationships that
exist between the two postal institutions.

Al-Touimi stressed that this publication highlights the depth of the historical friendship between the
Kingdom of Morocco and the sister country of the United Arab Emirates, adding that the Moroccan
