         The   New  Abha   Airport  project,  in  Saudi  Arabia,  upon  completion,  will  boast  an  annual  capacity
         to  ha nd le  more  tha n  äæ  million  passengers,  nearly  a  tenfold  increase  from  its  current  capacity
         of  ä.è  million  passeng ers.  In  Oman,  Musandam  Airport  is  being  constructed  for  US$åèã  million
         and   is  expected  to  be  ready  by  Qç  åãåé.      The  Red  Sea  International  Airport  on  Saudi  Arabia’s

         west  coast  is  projected  to  accommodate  one  million  passengers  annually  upon  full  completion
         in  åãæã,  with  a  peak  capacity  of  ìãã  passengers  per  hour. 


         Sharjah  International  Airport


         In  the   UAE,  work  on  the   Sha rjah  International  Airport’s  terminal  is  expected  to  be  completed
         by  åãåé.  Bahr ain  is  evalua ting   a  project  to  develop  a  çã-million-passenger  capacity
         int erna tiona l  airport  termina l  tha t  will  replace  its  existing  hub.      In  Kuwait,  a  new  triangular
         termina l  with  åë  gates  is  expected  to  increase  the  airport’s  capacity  by  up  to  èã  million
         passeng ers  per  year  as  it  will  become  operational  in  åãåè/åãåé.    In  Iraq,  three  major  airports

         are  expected  to  open  by  åãåè.    The   three-runway  Beirut  International  Airport  has  plans  to
         reach  åã  million  passeng er  capacity  in  åãæã,  according  to  the  website  of  national  carrier
         Middle  East  Airline s  (MEA).    According  to  CAPA  -  Centre  for  Aviation  report  in  August  åãåç,  its
         termina l  will  see  its  capacity  go  up   by  one  million  passengers  annually  when  it  opens  later  in
         åãåè.  Egypt  ho pes  to  expand   the   capacity  of  its  airport  infrastructure  to  handle  êå.å  million

         passeng ers  by  åãåè.

         South  Asia


         In  Sout h  Asia,  the   majority  of  airports  are  in  India,  the  world’s  most  populous  country.    India
         ha s  present ly  a  total  of  äæê  airports  which  includes  åç  international  airports.  Two  major  airport
         projects  are  in  different   stages  of  execution  in  India  in  Jewar  near  New  Delhi  and  Navi
         Mum bai,  along   with  up   to  äè  othe r  airport  projects  being  in  the  pipeline.      India,  where
         domestic  air  passeng er  traf†    is  set  to  reach  up  to  æãã  million  by  åãæã,  will  have  up  to  åçã
         airports,  inc lud ing   he liports  and   water  aerodromes.  It  plans  to  invest  US$ää  billion  in  airport

         inf rastruc tur e  to  reach  åãã  operational  airports  by  åãåè-end.


         Africa


         In  Africa,  Ethi opia  ha s  started  the   process  of  having  the  largest  airport  in  Africa  by  åãæã.
         Morocco  targets  a  staggering   inc rease    in  airport  passenger  capacity  of  ëã  million  annually  by
         åãæè  thr oug h  the   expans ion  and   modernisation  of  existing  airport  infrastructure.  Signi†cantly,
         the   Middle  East  and   Africa  airport  infrastructure  market’s  value  is  expected  to  reach

         US$äè,æãë.ëå  million  by  åãæã.
