Since its launch, the Knowledge Summit has charted a path full of knowledge beacons, and has spread the message of
knowledge, science and innovation over 8 successful and distinguished sessions. Over the years, this distinguished
knowledge event has witnessed an upward trajectory in terms of the number of sessions, speakers and attendees, with the
total number of sessions exceeding 747 discussion sessions that addressed the most important knowledge and scientific

topics, and the number of speakers reached more than 1765 speakers from elite minds, specialists, entrepreneurs,
government officials and decision-makers from around the world, within a knowledge platform that is local in nature and
global in scope and influence, with the total number of attendees exceeding 81 thousand interested participants and people
of knowledge and science.

Knowledge Summit - The Leading Knowledge Platform

The Knowledge Summit is the most prominent annual knowledge event in the Arab world, organized by the Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program. It brings together
thought leaders, experts, visionaries and policy makers to exchange ideas and expertise about the future of the world, within
a platform that combines local experiences with international expertise, providing a fertile environment for nurturing
innovative ideas and producing constructive and influential knowledge and development projects .

The objectives of the Knowledge Summit fall within two tracks: the first is to anticipate critical issues in knowledge and
development, and the second is to crystallize the best global practices in the form of advanced, implementable solutions.
Thus, the Summit places itself in a position to address global challenges, promote sustainable development, and raise the
level of well-being of nations .

These goals stem from the fact that knowledge is the cornerstone for building strong societies and resilient economies, and
thus constitutes the main pillar on which the Foundation’s vision is based in order to contribute to bringing about real and
sustainable developmental change in contemporary societies by emphasizing the pivotal role of developing knowledge
generation and dissemination paths in expanding the horizons of digital solutions and sustainable green solutions.

A career full of achievements

The Knowledge Summit has witnessed remarkable development since its first launch in 2014, when it began its first edition
with 16 sessions attended by 500 participants. Over the years, and as the momentum surrounding the summit increased and
its impact multiplied, the summit has grown significantly to host 57 sessions and more than 100 speakers in its eighth edition
in 2023, amid a huge increase in the number of attendees that exceeded 20,000 participants, which reflects the growing
interest in the summit and its growing role in expanding channels for disseminating knowledge and exchanging ideas
worldwide.

Knowledge Summit 2023

The Knowledge Summit 2023 focused on knowledge cities and the Fifth Industrial Revolution, and hosted a distinguished
group of thought leaders, policymakers, researchers, businessmen and innovators from around the world to discuss the role
of knowledge cities in embracing the Fifth Industrial Revolution. The summit addressed knowledge cities and their role in
accelerating technological innovation, driving sustainable economic growth and improving the overall quality of life. It
