5/9/24, 1:42 PM Emaar, the economic city signs agreement with Aramex to promote logistics sustainability in KAEC – You Change
Mansour Al-Salem, Managing Director of Emaar, The Economic City, said: “We are
pleased to sign this agreement with Aramex, a leading courier company in the Middle
East. We are confident that this strategic alliance will contribute to achieving the goals
of the Saudi Vision 2030, which serves as a blueprint for advancing sustainability and
innovation. Furthermore, this agreement marks an important step towards advancing
green logistics within KAEC and reflects our steadfast commitment to reducing
environmental impact and promoting sustainability. We are seeking to implement a
variety of environmentally friendly logistics solutions under this agreement, especially
Bot deliveries, which would be implemented for the first time in KSA.
KAEC gives high priority to reducing waste, utilizing green technologies and minimizing
CO2 emissions. Shipping and transportation both contribute to pollution and damage to
the environment, and sustainable logistics help mitigate these effects. Using eco-
friendly fuels, following better routes and using cleaner vehicles, in line with Saudi
Arabia’s Vision 2030, will help in this mission. Bone deliveries by Aramex minimize the
carbon footprint because they run entirely on electricity and produce no emissions.
Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Nowaiser, Managing Director of Aramex, said: “We are keen
to provide our eco-friendly solutions and pave the way for sustainable logistics in KAEC,
as part of our strategic alliance with Emaar and The Economic City. We at Aramex are
committed to promoting innovation and implementing environmentally friendly solutions
