             co- organi sed  a  netw ork i ng  ev ent  to  prom ote  B razi l i an  hal al   products  i n  the  Uni ted  Arab  Em i rates  (UAE)  as  part  of  the  "Hal al   do  B rasi l "

             proj ect.  The  ev ent,   w hi ch  ai m ed  to  i ncrease  B razi l i an  com pani es'  parti ci pati on  i n  the  gl obal   hal al   m ark et,   brought  together  busi ness  l eaders
             from   Arab  countri es  and  B razi l .

             Top  busi ness  l eaders  and  gov ernm ent  oì ci al s  -   i ncl udi ng  Carl os  Goul art,   Secretary   of  Agri cul tural   D efence  of  the  B razi l i an  Mi ni stry   of
             Agri cul ture  and  L i v estock ,   El i ana  Z ugai b,   Chargée  d’ Aéai res  of  the  Em bassy   of  B razi l   i n  the  UAE,   as  w el l   as  B razi l i an  and  Arab  entrepreneurs,
             attended  the  ev ent,   w hi ch  i ncl uded  a  di nner.  Saudi   Arabi an  dates  com pani es  and  B razi l i an  ê rm s  that  trade  and  ex port  products  such  as

             bev erages  to  Arab  countri es  w ere  al so  present  at  the  di nner,   w hi ch  featured  B razi l i an  barbecue.
             The  openi ng  cerem ony   i ncl uded  speeches  from   sev eral   ex ecuti v es,   i ncl udi ng  Tati ana  Ri era,   Chi ef  O perati ng  O ì cer  of  the  Apex B rasi l ,   D ubai ,

             w ho  noted  that  the  “Hal al   do  B rasi l ”  proj ect  w oul d  rei nforce  operati ons  across  the  Mi ddl e  East  and  Isl am i c  countri es  that  requi re  hal al
             certi ê cati on.  “W e  hav e  gathered  here  to  cel ebrate  a  new   step  i n  the  rel ati onshi p  betw een  the  AB CC  and  Apex B rasi l .  Thi s  partnershi p  w i l l

             further  strengthen  the  presence  of  B razi l i an  hal al   products  i n  the  UAE, ”  she  sai d.

             D uri ng  the  ev ent,   the  B razi l i an  Associ ati on  of  Ani m al   Protei ns  (AB PA)  l aunched  a  book   that  serv es  as  a  gui de  for  com pani es  seek i ng  hal al
             certi ê cati on.  Ri cardo  Santi n,   Presi dent  of  AB PA,   stated  that  the  book   w as  i ntended  to  ex pl ai n  the  steps  and  procedures  the  B razi l i an  traders

             m ust  tak e  to  get  the  certi ê cati on  and  prosper  i n  the  Arab  countri es.
             Gl obal l y ,   B razi l   i s  the  top  ex porter  of  hal al   protei n.  The  accredi tati on  necessi tates  a  num ber  of  changes  i n  the  part  of  the  com pani es.  “W e

             are  ready   to  face  these  chal l enges, ”  concl uded  Antôni o  Jorge  Cam ardel l i ,   Presi dent  of  the  B razi l i an  B eef  Ex porters  Associ ati on  (AB IEC).

             Meanw hi l e,   Tam er  Mansour,   the  Secretary - General   and  CEO   of  the  AB CC,   hi ghl i ghted  that  the  “Hal al   do  B rasi l ”  proj ect  ai m s  to  boost  the
             country ’ s  ex port  busi ness  bey ond  the  protei n  sector.  “The  proj ect  i s  trul y   ground- break i ng.  It  can  trai n  those  busi nesses  w ho  w ant  to
             v enture  i nto  the  hal al   m ark et  and  hi ghl i ght  the  si gni ê cance  of  B razi l   i n  the  hal al   food  i ndustry .  B razi l   doesn’ t  w ant  to  l i m i t  i ts  busi ness  to

             protei n  onl y ,   w e  ai m   to  see  al l   of  our  i tem s  w i th  hal al   certi ê cati on  on  the  shel v es,   dem onstrati ng  our  dedi cati on, ”  he  added.
