             (Apex B rasi l ),   hosted  a  w ork shop  ti tl ed  ‘ How   Hal al   W i l l   B oost  the  Internati onal i zati on  of  Your  B rand?’   recentl y ,   at  the  Conrad  Hotel ,   D ubai .

             The  w ork shop  hi ghl i ghted  the  si gni ê cance  of  hal al   certi ê cati on  for  B razi l i an  com pani es  to  penetrate  the  Arab  m ark et.  Thi s  w as  organi sed  on
             the  si del i nes  of  the  Gul food,   the  l argest  food  and  bev erage  ex hi bi ti on  i n  the  w orl d  bei ng  hel d  from   F ebruary   2 0   to  2 4 ,   2 0 2 3 ,   at  the  D ubai

             W orl d  Trade  Centre.
             B oth  enti ti es  brought  together  ov er  4 0   B razi l i an  food  ex porti ng  com pani es  i n  thi s  w ork shop,   w hi ch  w as  l ed  by   a  group  of  professi onal l y
             qual i ê ed,   i nternati onal   Hal al   certi ê ers.  The  pri m ary   obj ecti v e  of  the  w ork shop  w as  to  shed  l i ght  on  the  added  v al ue  that  hal al   certi ê cati on

             bri ngs  to  B razi l i an  com pani es,   enabl i ng  them   to  penetrate  the  m ark ets  of  Isl am i c  countri es.  It  al so  hi ghl i ghted  the  m ark et’ s  si gni ê cance  i n
             the  i nternati onal   busi ness  l andscape.  F urtherm ore,   the  w ork shop  al so  prov i ded  an  i deal   opportuni ty   for  com pani es  to  l earn  m ore  about

             the  hal al   m ark et  and  i ts  requi rem ents  for  gai ni ng  the  certi ê cati on,   through  sev eral   l ectures.
             The  gl obal   m ark et  for  hal al   products  i s  ex pandi ng  due  to  the  grow i ng  Musl i m   popul ati on  and  econom i es.  Thi s,   al ong  w i th  the  trust  i n  hal al -
             certi ê ed  products  i s  creati ng  m ore  i nnov ati v e  opportuni ti es  i n  the  m ark et.  The  w ork shop  cov ered  thi s  topi c  al ong  w i th  how   the  certi ê cati on

             v eri ê es  a  product  i s  sui tabl e  for  consum pti on,   and  rai sed  aw areness  about  the  v al ue  thi s  accredi tati on  bri ngs  for  busi nesses  across  v ari ous
             i ndustri es.

             F urtherm ore,   the  AB CC  al so  ai m ed  to  detai l   the  operati ons  of  the  hal al   sy stem   and  i denti ê ed  the  el em ents  that  contri bute  to  the  grow th  of
             the  sector.  O ne  of  these  factors  i s  the  grow i ng  Musl i m   popul ace,   w hi ch  i s  ex pected  to  i ncrease  i n  the  com i ng  y ears  i n  the  Gul f  Cooperati on

             Counci l   (GCC).  Another  factor  i s  the  econom i c  grow th  of  Musl i m - m aj ori ty   countri es,   w hi ch  i s  ex pandi ng  at  a  faster  rate  than  the  gl obal
             av erage.

             Tam er  Mansour,   Secretary   General   and  CEO   of  the  AB CC  hi ghl i ghted  the  i m portance  of  ex pandi ng  the  reach  of  hal al   i n  B razi l   outsi de  beef
             and  poul try ,   tw o  products  i n  w hi ch  B razi l   i s  al ready   the  w orl d's  top  producer  and  ex porter.  Paul a  Soares,   Manager  of  Apex B rasi l 's
             Agri busi ness  spok e  at  the  ev ent’ s  openi ng,   and  Rafael   Sol i m eo,   Head  of  the  AB CC  Internati onal   O ì ce  i n  D ubai ,   gav e  the  cl osi ng  rem ark s  for

             the  ev ent.
             Ashraf  El   Tanboul y ,   CEO   of  the  Isl am i c  Cham ber  of  Hal al   Serv i ces  (ICHS)  stated  that  there  are  sev eral   possi bi l i ti es  i n  the  hal al   i ndustry .  “The

             hal al   i ndustry   i s  a  hi gh- potenti al   av enue.  Therefore,   i t  i s  i m perati v e  to  bri ng  producers  and  traders  together  to  ex pl ore  opportuni ti es  i n  the
             sector  and  bui l d  m eani ngful   rel ati onshi ps  as  w el l   as  strategi es  that  accel erate  grow th  i n  the  i ndustry .

             Saê   em phasi sed  the  si gni ê cance  of  the  Hal al   do  B rasi l   i ni ti ati v e,   w hi ch  focuses  m ai nl y   on  assi st  B razi l i an  com pani es  to  enter  the  hal al
             m ark et.  “W e  bel i ev e  that  the  Hal al   do  B rasi l   proj ect  hol ds  param ount  si gni ê cance  si nce  the  hal al   m ark et  i s  ex pected  to  ex pand  and  conti nue

             to  thri v e.  Through  thi s  proj ect,   w e  w i l l   conti nue  our  m i ssi on  to  assi sti ng  m ore  B razi l i an  goods  to  enter  the  hal al   m ark et  as  w el l   as  hel p
             com pani es  recei v e  the  certi ê cati on, ”  he  added.
             Tarras  hi ghl i ghted  the  i m portance  of  hal al   goods  i n  both  i ndustry   and  retai l .  “Through  hal al ,   the  com pl ete  producti v e  chai n  ex pands  and

             progresses.  Ev en  i n  nati ons  that  are  new   to  the  i ndustry ,   for  i nstance  l i k e  the  Uni ted  States,   the  hal al   busi ness  i s  becom i ng  m ore  si gni ê cant
             and  w i tnessi ng  an  upw ard  trend, ”  he  added.

             Al an  O l i v ei ra,   F ounder  of  the  Pantanal   Tradi ng  stated  that  the  w ork shop  enabl ed  attendees  to  understand  the  si gni ê cance  of  the  hal al
             m ark et.  “In  B razi l ,   w e  produce  products  such  as  cosm eti cs,   coéee,   frui ts  etc.  Thi s  w ork shop  has  enabl ed  us  to  l earn  about  the  hal al   sy stem
