groundbreaking tool for assessing countries’ achievements in the
knowledge sector.

The announcement took place during a panel discussion at the Knowledge

Summit 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Dignitaries, including Dr. Abdallah Al Dardari, UN Assistant Secretary-

General, and Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, took part in the discussion.

Dr. Al Dardari emphasized that, “The future of nations depends on the
ability of young people to express themselves creatively and drive

economic change.”

Jamal bin Huwaireb expressed pride in the UAE’s strong performance in the
GKI, which is an essential tool for evaluating a nation’s progress across

scientific, technological, and educational sectors. “The GKI highlights
significant knowledge milestones in the Arab region and stresses the need

to further strengthen education, research, and innovation strategies
globally,” Huwaireb added.

Dr. Hany Torky, Chief Technical Adviser for UNDP’s Knowledge Project,

presented the comprehensive findings of the 2024 GKI, discussing the
