The 2024 GKI covers 141 countries, providing a comprehensive global
snapshot of the knowledge economy.
Top Global Performers:
Sweden ranked first with an index value of 68.3.
Finland followed in second place with 68.2, and Switzerland ranked third with 67.9.
The UAE ranked 26th globally with a score of 60.9, emerging as the leader in the Arab
world.
Top Arab Performers:
UAE: Ranked 26th globally, leading the Arab world.
Qatar: Ranked 39th globally with a score of 55.5.
Saudi Arabia: Ranked 41st globally, with a score of 54.8.
Oman: Ranked 55th globally, with a score of 50.0.
Lebanon: Newly included in the GKI, ranked 81st globally with a score of 45.4.
Global Education and ICT Achievements:
UAE ranked 4th globally in the ICT sector, with Saudi Arabia ranked 7th globally.
Saudi Arabia ranked 4th globally in pre-university education.
Global Economy Sub-Sector:
The UAE was listed among the top ten globally for economic competitiveness,
openness, and innovation.
