1/22/24, 1:47 PM Dubai's Salik announces two new toll gates on major routes to ease traffic - Arabian Business
These locations were selected based on extensive traffic movement studies conducted by
the RTA, with the aim of managing traffic distribution and reducing congestion by diverting

some vehicles to alternative routes that have greater capacity.

The objective is to facilitate smoother and more efficient travel for all motorists in Dubai.

The new toll gates are expected to begin operations in November 2024, increasing Salik’s
total number of toll gates in Dubai from eight to ten.

Similar to Al Mamzar North and South, Al Safa South will be connected to the existing Al

Safa gate (Al Safa North), enabling commuters to be charged only once if they pass
through both gates within one hour in the same direction.

“The addition of new toll gates in two increasingly busy locations marks the latest

milestone in the growth plan that we set out at the time of Salik’s initial public offering.
Our partnership with RTA in launching these new gates is another important step in our

journey to enhancing Dubai’s transport infrastructure with smart and sustainable mobility
solutions. These two new gates aim to improve overall mobility throughout the city,

facilitating smoother and more efficient travel for road users,” Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad,

Chief Executive Officer of Salik Company PJSC said.
