By positioning select inventory closer to neighbourhoods, Amazon is tapping into 7X’s

infrastructure to boost delivery speeds and reduce traffic congestion on major roads.

The approach, in line with broader national goals to enhance digital infrastructure, will help the

firm address increasing consumer demand for fast delivery of essentials like groceries, personal
care items, and electronics.

“This strategic collaboration with Amazon leverages our extensive network through our

subsidiaries to enable seamless scaling, faster fulfilment, and smarter delivery solutions,” Tariq
Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, said.

Looking beyond the deal

Looking beyond the initial scope of the deal, both companies have indicated they are open to
exploring further areas of cooperation in the future, from expanding the network of local hubs
to piloting new delivery models.

Al Wahedi said, “As the partnership evolves, we look forward to exploring additional ways to
support customer convenience, operational efficiency, and contribute to the UAE’s digital
economy and sustainability ambitions.”

According to Ronaldo Mouchawar, Vice President of Amazon Middle East, Africa, and Turkey,
the deal shows “the power of inter-sector collaboration, demonstrating how logistics
innovation and e-commerce expertise can converge to serve today’s digital and online retail
landscape.”
