Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Postgraduate Scholarship at the University of Oxford has achieved
distinguished achievements.

This comes through its support for a number of students in the UAE and the Arab world to complete their educational careers at Oxford University.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation launched this grant in 2016 in cooperation with the University of Oxford. This
was done through a permanent partnership.

This strategic partnership

This strategic partnership embodies a pioneering project to invest in thought and humanity. It provides postgraduate study opportunities for Arab
students, allowing them to optimally employ their intellectual abilities. This is achieved by supporting their learning journey at the hands of the
most prominent international researchers. In addition, it offers them the opportunity to get to know distinguished students from various countries
and in various fields.

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, said: “This grant
carries the values and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, in building a promising and sustainable future.” It represents a qualitative initiative to push the country’s
citizens and Arab students and encourage them to continue higher education. This supports the cognitive empowerment of Arab competencies. The
initiative also reflects the Foundation’s keenness to enhance scientific, academic and research paths in the Arab world. This aligns with its firm
commitment to supporting students and researchers at the local and Arab levels. Furthermore, it seeks to consolidate the UAE’s leading position on
the global knowledge map.

The scholarship aims to invest in and develop the promising potential of outstanding students. It sends them to this prestigious university to pursue
their postgraduate studies.

This contributes to supporting their academic and research paths, and contributing to building an integrated Arab knowledge society.

This reflects the state’s approach to supporting education and innovation as pillars for a brighter future for future generations.

Since its inception, the scholarship has been a milestone in the journey to support higher education in the Arab world.

It also enabled an elite group of distinguished Arab students to join an ancient edifice. This university is classified as the best university in the
world.

The grant contributed to enabling Arab competencies to develop their research and scientific capabilities in various vital fields.

This contributed to strengthening their presence on the global knowledge scene.
