The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation's Commitment to Children's Literature in Tunisia
August 5, 2025 – In a significant endeavor to foster literary talent in the Arab world, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation
(MBRF) has successfully concluded its ‘Children’s Literature Workshop’ as part of the Dubai International Program for Writing (DIPW). This
initiative, which spans four months, took place in the vibrant capital of Tunisia, Tunis, and was masterfully conducted under the leadership of Dr. Wafa
Thabet Mezghani, an esteemed figure in the realm of literary education.
The workshop showcased an exceptional turnout from individuals keen on exploring the multifaceted world of children’s literature. Participants
engaged in a comprehensive and interactive training curriculum that emphasized practical exercises alongside theoretical frameworks. As aspiring
writers, they had the unique opportunity to brainstorm ideas, receive constructive feedback, and refine their stories from initial drafts into fully-fledged
narratives ready for publication.
His Excellency Jamal Bin Huwaireb, the CEO of MBRF, articulated the foundation’s vision succinctly, stating, “The initiatives of DIPW reflect our
core mission of supporting intellectual and creative growth across the Arab world. The ‘Children’s Literature Workshop’ embodies our strong belief in
nurturing emerging talent and providing them with the skills essential for excelling in specialized writing. Such efforts are paramount in our quest to
cultivate knowledge-driven Arab societies poised to address future challenges. We are dedicated to designing innovative programs that empower youth
and make a substantial contribution to both the local and international literary landscape.”
